Idea of the day - Remote Control Batteries

For potentially annoying childrens' toys, etc, why not have batteries with inbuilt remote controls, so the current can be disconnected from a handy remote control.

Oh dear, the battery in your train set seems to have run out. Time for bed...

Phrase of the day - Hick up

An email sent to me this morning referred to a "hick up" on Friday. I'm sure the sender meant hiccough, but I've come up with the following definition:

Hick up (n). A minor error typical of a provincial individual.

e.g. He made a hick-up by assuming the bus would stop if he stood at the bus-stop without signalling to the driver.

Do you have a hick-up or make one?

I've been working hard recently on getting my life in order after the arrival of baby Emily in March. Mostly I've been trying to follow GTD principles, although I've still only read half the book (meaning I'm stress free but not productive :) )

I'm not sure whether blogging counts as a productive use of time, but let's see what happens. I think it should be a useful storage location for thoughts I would otherwise just have floating around. Expect a random flood of posts for a few days...

Next to Below Zero you will find the UK's first permanent ice bar, right in the heart of London. The interior is kept at below zero temperature –5�C all year round. All of the interior fittings, including the glasses, are made of pure, clear ice from the Torne River in northern Sweden. The ICEBAR is run in partnership with Below Zero London, ABSOLUT, and ICEHOTEL. The bar has capacity for 60 persons and is open to all.
